The Pretender also stars (although not necessarily in every episode): Sam Ayres (Sam the Sweeper), Paul Dillon (Angelo), Jeffrey Donovan (Kyle), Willie Gault (Willie the Sweeper), Richard Marcus (Mr. Raines), Ryan Merriman (Young Jarod), Jonathan Osser (Younger Jarod), Ashley Peldon (Young Miss Parker) Harve Presnell (Mr. Parker), and Alex Wexo (Young Sydney). This is EPISODE #15 Written By: Lawrence Meyers and Directed By: Terrence O'Hara After simulating the difficulties that would be encountered by someone having only one arm, Jarod Crane becomes a part of the team at KTJE Action News in Seattle, as a cameraman. At KTJE, Jarod discovers that the story on gang violence that reaped the station a ratings bonanza, but cost the cameraman who shot it the use of his arm, was set-up by the man who reported it, Phil Campbell, in order to court favor with the ambitious news director, Chris Rockwell. With the help of D-Mac, one of the gang members, and Annie, a film editor at KTJE, Jarod stages a breaking story of his own - this time placing Campbell in the line of fire. Airing the event city-wide and live, Campbell’s confession is heard by all. Before he moves on, Jarod gives Ken Watanabe, the cameraman who lost his arm, a unique shoulder brace that Jarod designed specifically for him. The brace will allow Watanabe to “hold” a camera again and continue with his career. Following leads to Jarod’s last lair, Miss Parker and Sydney end up trapped in the basement of a New York City tenement building that is scheduled for demolition. During the altercation with junkies that left them trapped, Miss Parker accidentally shoots Sydney in the leg. Jarod gives Broots the information he needs to rescue Miss Parker and Sydney. Broots continues his on-line love affair. He and his paramour use “Samson” and “Delilah” as their computer ID’s. ![]() Guest stars: Michael Buchman Silver (???), Lisa Howard (Annie Lambert), Gregory Itzin (Phil Campbell), Dwayne L.
