The Pretend:  Professor of Anatomy

As a teacher at the Colonial College Medical School in Philadelphia, Jarod investigates the year-old disappearance of Enrique Ramos, the brother of one of his students.  He discovers that a professor at the school, Dr. Fein, killed Enrique because Enrique knew that Dr. Fein killed a homeless man, Broad Street Bill, while using him to experiment with his new cardiac resuscitation drug.   Jarod gets Dr. Fein to confess by making him believe that Jarod intends to bury him alive, then (with the help of Bruno) turns the taped confession and Dr. Fein over to the police.

Meanwhile, Jarod begins being "haunted" by flashbacks relating to an experiment performed on him at The Centre while Sydney was away.  Mr. Raines and Mr. Lyle "killed" him, by stopping his heart, then revived him.   In the end, Jarod remembers the horrible experience clearly, but neither he nor Sydney know why the experiment was performed.

Other: Jarod discovers Halloween, with all of its tricks and treats!  Miss Parker has no idea where her father has gone and it appears that Mr. Lyle has replaced him.   Brigitte arrives as a new cleaner.  She and Mr. Lyle have been one step ahead of Miss Parker, Broots and Sydney in collecting evidence from Jarod's last lair.  Other changes has taken place at The Centre as well, which Broots notes because of the rise in the price of Funyuns in the snack machine.  After Sydney talks to Jarod, Broots sneaks into Mr. Raines' office and takes a DSA of a secret experiment that was conducted on Jarod from his archives.   The experiment involved medically flatlining Jarod and then resuscitating him.  Miss Parker confronts Mr. Raines in The Centre's burn unit because she wants information regarding her father's whereabouts and Mr. Lyle's identity.  All the while, she is peeling off parts of his skin grafts.  Finally, Mr. Raines tells her that Mr. Lyle is the "boogey man."

Guest Stars:  David Barrera (Fernando Ramos), Orlando Brown (Bruno), James Dalesandro (Monk), Ricco Ross (Larron), Tava Smiley (Chloe), James Sutorius (Dr. Christopher Fein), Sam Whipple (Sheldon Fein) and Danny Zorn (Joel Fein)
