The Pretend:  FBI Agent

Two RICO agents are sent undercover to infiltrate the Mulino crime family.  When agent Les Knight is murdered, the U.S Prosecutor charges Dean Clark with the crime - saying that his motive for killing his fellow agent was to conceal his own involvement with the crime syndicate.

Clark's indictment doesn't just ruin his career, it devastates his father, a retired federal agent. To find out who really murdered Les Knight, FBI agent Jarod Puzo infiltrates the Mulino crime family as a mobster whose specialty is counterfeit money.

Jarod discovers that the U.S. Prosecutor, Sean Flanagan, is the one who has been taking pay-offs from Joey Mulino, and is the man who killed Les Knight by locking him in the freezer at JAX - the bar and grill where Joey Mulino conducts most of his business.  Knight suffocated before he froze to death, allowing Joey and his second in command, Bobby 2 Guns, to frame Clark by duct taping a plastic bag that came from Clark's drycleaner over Knight's head.

When Jarod learns that Joey plans to use JAX as the location for his counterfeiting, then kill the owner and burn the place to be rid of the evidence, he quickly sets up a sting that ends with Sean Flanagan, Joey Mulino and Bobby 2 Guns being trapped in the same freezer in which Les Knight was murdered.  Once Jarod has their confessions on tape, Dave Clark is exonerated.  Jarod then gives all of the money that Joey has been taking from the bar to pay off Flanagan, back to Faye (who owns JAX), so that she can finally be free to go wherever she wants.

Mr. Lyle reappears at The Centre's Hartford offices, killing everyone there and stealing a semi-conductor panel and chip from the blue-box that is the dedicated hardware system for The Centre's mainframe.  Mr. Parker sends a reluctant Miss Parker to kill Mr. Lyle and get the chip back.  Miss Parker catches up with Lyle on the dock at the Hillman marina, before he can sell the chip to the Yakuza for 20 million dollars.  Lyle attempts to shoot Miss Parker, ending her moral dilemma for her.  She shoots Lyle, in self-defense.  The next morning, Sam the sweeper identifies the body that is pulled from the water as Lyle's.

At The Centre, Broots manages to download the chip before Mr. Raines confiscates it, and finds that it has genetic codes on it.

Jarod discovers Hostess Snowballs.
